It’s out of the way. There aren’t really any trees. But it is just so weird and neat. It’s is worth some extra driving if you are nearby.
We got to talk to a volunteer ranger here and he gave us a private intro to the breaking bridge of petrified wood. This must be the least funded of the national parks but is really unlike all the others. Definitely worth seeing if you’re driving from Flagstaff to Albuquerque or Durango.
